Regulation
8. Variation from the standard conditions.
Where any steam boiler or
unfired pressure vessel imported into the Federation after the coming
into force of these
regulations does not comply with the standard conditions provided under
regulation 7 the Chief
Inspector shall assign an authorised safe working pressure thereto which
shall be less than the
manufacturer's or maker's design pressure by an amount which he, in his
discretion,
may deem appropriate in the circumstances.
